The Lord Looks Out For Us!

This week was awesome! Not only did we get a new car, which I'm super pumped about, but the Lord has truly blessed our efforts this week. I can't even write down everyone that we have been able to contact. There was a day where we handed out over 10 Book of Mormon's! It was awesome! We saw the power of the Book of Mormon really connect with people, as we were able to read some verses with them and explain the book to them. It's truly been a testimony builder for me to see that there are people that have a desire for the truths that are found in the Book of Mormon.
One neat miracle we have seen was during the ward Trunk or Treat.  A family in the ward invited their neighbors and we took them on a tour through the church! During the tour, they expressed how they wanted to know more about Jesus and even a desire to be baptized! We are hoping to see them this week and start teaching them!
We will be having a big conference this week, where all the missionary leaders get together and discuss what's been happening in the mission. So, I will see some of my old companions, as well! It will be cool! I know the Lord looks out for us and that He truly consecrates our efforts that we give Him. I hope you all have a good week!

We got a brand new car!  Man, that thing is so much fun to drive!

It's Fun To Be Back In Maryland!

This week was transfers! It was pretty weird leaving Ephrata and going to a new city. It's pretty suburban, so it’s not as country as my last two areas have been. I'm super close to the mission home and office.  President Christiansen's house is not too far from us, either. Elder Worsham is going home! I will be his final companion, it's been pretty fun being around him. He is from West Jordan, Utah.  I'm actually in a trio! So, my other companion is Elder Apgood, who has been out for 6 weeks and is from Payson, Utah. They are both super fun to be around.
I thought I was inadequate as a District Leader, but that's been easily eclipsed by how I feel about being a Zone Leader. There is a lot more responsibility with this calling. We just had a meeting with some stake high councilors last night about the missionary work in the zone. Plus, I have a lot more meetings coming up and a lot more leadership stuff. Really, it's just been stressful not knowing what to do. Elder Worsham has been doing this for a few transfers, so he has been helping.
I'm still trying to get my bearings and figure out who the people are, but the area is doing pretty well. We have a couple of investigators who are really cool and even one that is getting close to baptism! It's been a super hectic week. We have done lots of service with the Salvation Army, helping members, and even driving new cars for the mission! (which was super fun and cool by-the-way). The little bit of free time that we have had from meetings, we have been out trying to visit people. We had a really cool street contact with this guy, Will! He was super open to what we had to say and was very willing for us to come back! We are expecting good things from him! It's been fun to be back in Maryland and see old friends. I hope you have a good week!

My Last Zone!
We took some pictures together before transfers.

Get in the "Zone"!

I have big news that I have been waiting on for quite some time.  We received our call outs yesterday.  I was told that I would be leaving Ephrata and going to Ellicott City, Maryland to be a Zone Leader with Elder Worsham!!!!!! Plus, I will be in a trio with Elder Worsham's trainee. For those of you who don't know, I have served around Elder Worsham for 18 months. Now, we are finally companions! I'm super pumped to be with him! I'm not sure how I will do as a Zone Leader. It's a bigger responsibility than a District Leader. As a District Leader, I was over the missionaries in a District. Now I will be over a few Districts in a Zone. I have a lot more planning and busy work ahead of me. I'm not sure why the Lord calls whom He calls, but I hope I can do what He would have me do.

We had a super awesome week! We found a new investigator, Amy.  She works at the Manor, where we do service and she was very open and liked the message! We even knocked on the door of this lady, Kimberly and accidently scared her half to death. After a few laughs though, she was excited about what we had to share.  We are going back this Friday! It's going to be quite an adventure next transfer, but I'm looking forward to it! I hope you have a good week!
Elder Reed and I did a lot of biking. :( My legs are so sore.
It was fun though, so that's why I took pictures of it.

We did a service project with most of the Zone helping out at a 5k/10k race!
It was a lot of fun!

We went to good ol' Shady Maple!

God is Aware of Us and Our Needs!

Hello Everyone! This week was a really cool week! We found lots of people to teach. It's been really cool to see the Lord's hand work in our area! For the most part, this week has been a huge blur.  But some of the biggest changes that have happened, would have to be on Sunday. Our current bishop was released and we now have a new bishop! In addition to that, our investigators Pam & Kevin, were able to make it to church this week. It was so neat to see them there and they also had Pam's grandson come, as well! All of them really enjoyed being at church and it was a tender mercy that Kevin made it.
We are slowly building our teaching pool and have been truly finding those who have been prepared. I know that God is aware of us and our needs. The trials we have are meant to help us turn to Him. The mission has been a crazy experience, but I'm grateful for the relationship that I have been able to make with my Father in Heaven. I hope you have a good week!

Mom Note: Elder Ainsworth promises to send pictures next week.  He said it was a super crazy week and he just spaced it.  I may forgive him...later! ;)

We Were Both Jumping Up and Down As We Left!

Hello Everyone! I hope you enjoyed General Conference! It was amazing to hear and feel of the spirit that they brought.  I know that they have been called of God. One of my favorite quotes from General Conference was from the talk that Elder Anderson gave.  He read a portion of Elder Hales talk. "When we choose to have faith, we are prepared to stand in presence of God." That really stuck out to me, as I have been thinking of how to improve my faith. This week really has been a faith strengthening week.
The work has been hastening! It was such a good week! We have found really cool people all week and the Lord's hand has been truly manifest in this area. We had another really good lesson with Pam and Kevin! We read through 3 Nephi 11, about when the Savior appears to people of Nephi in America.  They both felt spirit and when we extended an invitation to be baptized, they both said yes! It was super cool!!!! We just need to get them to church.
We had another really cool miracle happen last night. We knocked on a door that Elder Reed felt that we needed to knock on.  After a few minutes, no one answered, so we started walking away. We were a good distance away from the house, when we heard someone yell for us. We turned back and found a lady standing in front of the house that we just knocked on. We went back and talked to her and quickly taught her the Restoration.  She started to tear up, as we told her of Joseph Smith's First Vision. We gave her a Book of Mormon and she told us, "Before I go to bed tonight, I'm going to read this book!" We were both jumping up and down as we left! The Lord truly recognizes what we need and as we are patient, He takes care of us in His own way and in His own timing. I hope you have a great week!

Once again, I saw Elder Worsham!  I have seen him at every zone conference
since I have started the mission!

I saw Elder Fisher, again!

Elder Reed and I loaded this bed full of black walnuts.
It took forever!
